After testing notifications on a small number of datasets, we have expanded coverage to the majority of data on the HDX platform. Notifications are available for changes to individual datasets and for new data related to specific organizations, locations or crises.

Signing up is easy: click the ‘Get Notified’ button on any dataset, organization, location or crisis page. You will then be asked to verify your email address. Once confirmed, you will receive email notifications whenever a change occurs. If you are a registered HDX user, you can manage your subscriptions through the Notifications Hub under User Settings. 

For individual datasets, you will receive a notification when a resource (file) has been added or removed, the structure of the resource has changed or the metadata has changed. For organizations, locations or crises, you will receive a notification when a new dataset is added. 

Notifications are only available for regularly updated, public datasets. We do not offer notifications for private or archived datasets or for datasets that are not expected to update, i.e., the expected update frequency is marked as ‘never’.
